1. Start with an Outcome
Every qualification can be set up as an Ability Outcome – which allows you to monitor whether someone has achieved it or not. For example, “Achieved Level 2 English” could be one such outcome.

2. Create an Achievement Tracker
If your programme leads to multiple qualifications, you can create a Binary Achievement Tracker for each one. These act like checkboxes – perfect for tracking whether a participant has completed a course or gained a certificate.

3. Record grades too - if needed
Want to capture more detail than just pass/fail? You can:

- Use a Numerical Tracker to store actual marks or scores

- Or use a Scale Tracker if the grades are from a fixed list (e.g. Pass, Merit, Distinction)

This gives you the flexibility to track qualifications however your programme defines success.

4. Capture data through Surveys
Once your trackers are in place, you can add them to a Survey. Surveys on Makerble can be completed:

- Internally by your team (e.g. after reviewing evidence or conducting assessments)

- Or externally by participants themselves (e.g. uploading proof or entering their results)

Surveys can be completed as often as needed – so you can keep progress updated throughout the course of a programme.
